Are you a high-energy and results-focused accounting professional looking to make a difference in the community by leading the finance team of a public utility that serves Pennsylvania’s capital city and the surrounding municipalities?
Capital Region Water is the wastewater, drinking water, and stormwater utility that serves the City of Harrisburg and surrounding communities. We are seeking an experienced professional to serve as Vice President, Finance. This position works closely with the CFO and will lead a young and dedicated staff of professionals. As a relatively young organization that celebrated our ten-year anniversary last November, we are responsible for continuing the investment in our utility systems after decades of neglect from previous city administrations. We have an ambitious decades-long plan to modernize the wastewater, drinking water and stormwater systems to meet the future needs of our customers, protect public health and the environment, and sustain development in our communities. This position is vital to the success of that long-term plan.
Key position requirements are noted below.
- Requires a bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related field.
- A minimum of seven years of related, full-time equivalent experience.
- Supervisory experience strongly preferred. CPA, CPFO, CGFM, or similar credential preferred.
- Preference will be given to candidates with governmental accounting experience utilizing Tyler Technologies Munis. Internal and external training will be provided.
Hiring salary $100K to $126K DOQ/E.
