DESCRIPTION OF WORK
In this role, you will be trained to perform professional work in the examination, investigation, and audit of non-depository financial institutions regulated by the Department of Banking and Securities. This important work ensures financial entities that are not banks and do not accept traditional deposits but provide various other financial services are held accountable and operate in compliance with laws, regulations, and polices.
Your responsibilities will involve participating in practical on-the-job training assignments designed to further competence and develop skills needed to perform less complex assignments, assist with components of more complex assignments, and facilitate your future professional development. You will learn how to:
- Interpret and apply the laws, regulations, and policies governing state licensed non-depository institutions
- Review and investigate information and situations referred to Compliance by other bureaus in our department, consumer complaints, internal research, or other means.
- Assist identifying weaknesses and deficiencies of institutions as well as when a violation of law is present.
- Communicate with institutions on interpretation of laws, regulations, and policies.
- Make recommendations for appropriate corrective or enforcement action.
Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Full-time employment
- Work hours are 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 60-minute lunch.
- Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg. The ability to telework is subject to change at any time. Additional details may be provided during the interview.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- A bachelor’s degree including or supplemented by nine credits in accounting, finance, economics, or a closely related field; or
- An equivalent combination of experience and training that includes nine college credits in accounting, finance, economics, or a closely related field.
- Applicants will be considered to have met the educational requirements once they are within three months of graduating with a qualifying degree.

- You must possess and maintain a REAL ID or passport for this position. Proof of possession will be needed at the time of a conditional offer of employment.
