Millcreek Township is seeking an experienced Grant Administrator to lead the identification, development, and management of grant funding that supports public services, infrastructure, and community priorities. This role is ideal for a grant professional who understands the full grant lifecycle and wants their work to have visible, lasting impact at the local level.
The Role
The Grant Administrator performs professional-level work managing grants from concept through closeout. You will work closely with Township leadership, department heads, and funding agencies to secure funding and ensure awarded grants are administered accurately, compliantly, and on schedule. This position requires strong writing skills, sound judgment, and the ability to manage multiple active grants independently.
Key Responsibilities
- Research and pursue federal, state, county, and private grant opportunities
- Prepare and submit competitive grant applications, narratives, budgets, and attachments
- Manage awarded grants for compliance, reporting, reimbursement, and closeout
- Track grant expenditures and coordinate with the Treasurer on financial compliance
- Maintain complete and accurate grant files and tracking systems
- Coordinate audits, monitoring reviews, and site visits
- Serve as the primary liaison with funding agencies, consultants, and internal stakeholders
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Public Administration, Public Policy, Finance, Accounting, English, Communications, or a related field
- Three (3) to five (5) years of professional grant writing and grant administration experience
- Demonstrated success securing and managing federal and/or state grants
- Strong writing, analytical, and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple grants and deadlines with minimal supervision
- Experience with grant portals and compliance reporting
- Knowledge of municipal or public-sector operations preferred
- Valid Pennsylvania Driver’s License required
