Role Description
This is a part-time, hybrid, contract role for a Government Accountant. The Government Accountant will be responsible for managing and overseeing financial functions such as accounts payable, accounts receivable, cash & investments, payroll, state and federal reporting, purchasing, and bidding.
Qualifications
- Experience with Government Relations, Local Government, and Public Sector functions
- Experience in Accounts Payable and/or payroll for a government or school environment
- Ability to work in a hybrid environment with 1 -2 days a week onsite in Dauphin County, PA
- Strong Communication and Analytical Skills
- Proficiency in financial reporting and budget development
- Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and experience working within the standards set by the Governmental Accounting Standards Board (GASB)
